The mother-in-law I never Knew.

I'm a little late on it, but yesterday March 1, 2010 marked the anniversary of something Adam will never forget. Adam's mom Jane Ann died at the young age of 32 due to heart related issues. Adam was six years old and remembers that day like it was yesterday. Which is pretty amazing for a six year old. As of yesterday it happened 20 years ago. Today Adam and I took flowers to her grave in Spanish Fork. Jane loved daisies so that's what we got. Ever since I met Adam and heard about his mom Jane Ann, I have never ONCE heard anything negative about her. Everyone who knew here said only great things about her. Everyone says that she was the sweetest most kind women you have ever met. When someone says something like that you may think that they are just being nice since it was Adam's mom...But really everyone says it, no negatives about her at all.

When I first met Adam and found out that he was from Spanish Fork and I was from Payson. I just had to make fun of how Spanish Fork High has a PET rock...Really they do...Us cool people from Payson will sometimes even paint it Green and in return they paint our P red(they never do get enough paint because the P always ends up Pink). Anyway, Adam told me how his mom was the Student Body President or something to that effect, well she was the one who decided that Spanish Fork should get a PET rock. After that I can no longer make fun of the rock.

After hearing all the great things about Jane Ann it makes me sad that I won't get to met her for a long time to come. I wish she was here sometimes, I think she and I would get along perfectly. I wish I could have met here along with the rest of Adam's family. I love hearing stories about her from Adam, he is always talking about her and the memories he has of her. He remembers so much about his mom. Which I'm so happy for, since he was only six when she died.

So here is to the mother-in-law I never knew, and can't wait to met one day.
Thank you so much for bringing Adam into this world, so that I could met him and marry him.
Even though you were only here for 6 years of Adam's life, you were one of the biggest influences he had to become a better person and go on a mission. I love you and can't wait to tell my kids about you.

Thank you, thank you for that beautiful tribute you gave to my sister, Jane Ann! My heart was touched as you shared your thoughts of her. I loved her soooo much and miss her just as much. We were so close to one another and yes everything you have heard is true. I am so grateful that Adam has such fond memories of his mother. She was truly an amazing sister, daughter, wife and mother! Thanks you two for remembering her and the life she led. You really did make my day as I read your writing. Love, Merrillyn
