One thing after another...I should be thankful

Well it seems when something goes wrong it always has one thing right after another happen. First as you know my mac drive died about a week ago. Then last Monday the mac guy calls me and tells me that they can't get anything off my drive and that it is Dead, DEAD! Well that's just great. I only had over $300.00 worth of music and my PRICELESS photos on there.

Then comes Tuesday(September 21) and I go out to my car to start it, so I could go to work...and it doesn't start, all that happens is this clicking sound and my dash lights are flashing super fast. hahah are you kiddy me. This cannot be happening to me. I need to be to work and I have a test in my chemistry class! Lucky for me my sister in law was home and she didn't have anywhere to be till that night. So I took her car since I only work half day. After I get home my Mom comes over and jump starts my car and I head to checker to have them check the battery, and they said it was good. My starter is working and the alternator is charging the battery like it is suppose to. So I continue on with my day and go to class, take my test, which I got a 94% on!!! HECK YA!!! My car started just fine when I left school too.
Then Wednesday comes around...On Wednesdays I have to be to work earlier because I work the front office. So I get in my car to leave and it doesn't work AGAIN! Lucky for me I called my Mother in law and she had just left for work so she turned around and came and got me. Thank you Marilee!
So say the least nothing was going right. I ended up getting a new battery for my car, but didn't go get it till the weekend so I had a lot of jump starts. My Mom's friend did let me barrow her battery jump pack so that was good.

This week...So far so good...Although I don't know what I got on my math test I took today. I really would like to know if I did good or not.

On the exciting news...Adam got to call me yesterday and we got to talk for 20mins!!!
Every time we talk it only seems like 5 mins. It makes me sad when I start to hear all the yelling in the back ground for them to get their phones back. I am really happy every time I get to talk to him. It is so wonderful to hear his voice and know that he is doing good. To tell him I love him and support him in everything he is doing. Tomorrow will mark our 1 week mark till I get to leave! Sad part about that is that I only get to see him for two days and then we have another 4 months away from each other. We have not seem each other for 2 months now. Petty much it sucks to be away from your one true love and soul mate. I watched the movie, "Letters to Juliet" I love the song at the end called, "What if" my favorite part is, "...what if we were made for each other, born to become best friends and lovers..." That is exactly how Adam and I are, I know we were made for each other and we are definitely best friends for life and all eternity.

Update about the mac drive...Even though I was not able to have anything recovered I was able to get all my pictures back. My mom had all the ones from before I got married, along with engagements and bridal. I have my wedding pictures on a CD and everything else is still on my camera. I learned my lesson and went a bought a external hard drive on Friday.

Okay about the thankful part of this post. I know Heavenly Father gives us trials to makes us learn and grow in life. I guess I needed some learning and some growing to do. I am the type of person that when things like this happen I freak out and start crying. Well during everything that has happened I have always left that everything would turn out for the better. I know Heavenly Father really cares about me and loves me. He has comforted me since Adam has been gone. He comforts me with Adam's love all around me. I am very thankful for everything that Heavenly Father does for me. I know as long as I am faithful and do as I am suppose to do, everything will fall into place when it is suppose to.

Lesson learned the hard way!

Apple image

Yesterday was kind of a sad day in the fact my Mac is in the Shop. :( I have had it for almost 3 years and have never had any troubles with it. Well yesterday I was blogging and checking for updates on Facebook. I was seeing if Adam's drill sergeants had put any photos up yet. Then my computer froze and I tried to do the force quit and it wasn't working. So I restarted the computer by pushing the on button like i've been told to do. Well when it came back up a folder with a question mark. I quickly googled it and most people said that, that meant that you hard drive has gone bad. I wanted to scream! I quickly found my care package I bought to see how long it is covered for...and its good til 10/02/10, how lucky can you get! Before I took it up to the apple store I decided I should try doing the trouble shooting first....Nothing...except I got the folder to go away but nothing was loading up, all I had was a blank screen. So then I go up to the apple store and tell them my story and he tells me it's most likely my hard drive. Please don't tell me that. He asked if I had backed up any of my files. I said no, but really I was planning on buying a back up storage thing that day and back up my pictures and music. Too late! Since I have the apple care though it pays for a new hard drive! The only the only thing it doesn't cover is data recovery. I have to pay $150.00 IF they can recover anything. Let's hope so. I have all my pictures on there. My engagments, Wedding, and all the pictures since we have been married. 2 years worth of pictures!
So I learned my lesson....Always back up your photos, because photos are priceless.
Oh, and I am really thankful that I got the extended care package so I don't have to pay for anything.
Oh, and two weeks ago I got my first EVER ticket. I got pulled over, I wasn't even speeding but got pulled over all the same. My registration was expired and he gave me a ticket. If I got it all registered within 5-14 days then some of my fine would be taken off. The reason I had not gotten it done yet was because I needed to buy tires, and they are not cheap! But I did it anyway and I got ten dollars taken off my ticket. It cost me 30.00 bucks!

WE have a DOOR!

We finally have a DOOR!!! This past weekend Jon(my brother in law) put the door into our attic apartment. That means we are one step closer to being done!
Now that the door is in we have one more window to put in and then we have a little electrical to do. After that I can have the insulation put in. Then come the drywall. I'm hoping it'll go by a little faster once we get the insulation put in and start on the drywall. The only thing right now is you can't actually go out the door...unless you enjoy falling. We are not going to be able to put the stairs and stuff in til the spring.

This picture is were our shower is going.
So there is our little update on our attic turning into an apartment!

Just a few things

This weekend started out not so much in a good way. Friday night I had an emotional time in which I could not stop crying for some reason. Okay I know that reason, but do not want to share it with everyone because it is personal. I really wished at that moment that I could just call up Adam and talk to him, but unfortunately I can't. They only time I get to talk to Adam is when he calls me and I never know how long I'll get to talk to him. Well according to Adam's head Drill Sergeant once they hit white phase, which they have been in for three weeks now, they would get their phones every Sunday. Adam has yet to get the chance to call on Sunday. I talked to him on a Tuesday and then two week later I talked to him on a Monday. So Yesterday I was praying really hard that they would get to call, because I was having a not so good weekend and needed to hear his voice Really bad....and what do you know....HE CALLED!!! I got to talk to him for 15 mins, which is the longest I have ever talked to him. It would have been longer but his phone takes 10 mins to load. So if anyone has an old T-mobile phone that still works and is willing to let Adam use it, please let me know. Thanks! Anyway those 15mins were the best ever!
On Saturday Adam got to go to a concert for 9-11 and got to relax for a couple hour and eat REAL food! He was really happy about the real food part. He said he got pizza, funnel cakes, ice cream and he had 2 Pepsi(the first by choice and the second because the poweraid was all gone by the time he went back for a 2nd drink). He was so happy! Some of the other companies that are there can eat milkshakes and candy and they have been there just as long as Adam if not shorter. Adam's Drill Sergeants won't let them have those yet. Which I think is a good thing because it better for them not to have all that junk. Adam told me that he weight now is 216, which means that he has lost 10lbs. I'm so happy for him because the Army wanted him to lose more weight and he did. Good Job ADAM! I love that man so much and he made my weekend have a great ending.

Up at the Spanish Fork Cemetery they have what's called the moving wall-(click on moving wall to go to their website). It's a down size version of the Vietnam wall in D.C. It was really cool to go see it and I did learn a few things. Like it starts and ends in the corner. What the different symbols by the names mean. It makes me want to go see the real one, one day. Also while I was there it wasn't loud at all, having it that quiet reminded me of when I was in Germany and went to one of the concentration camps. What can you say? There are now words to describe the sadness that you feel. The wall will be in Spanish Fork til the end today, so if you get a chance you should go and see it.

Well that's all the little updates for now, more to come later this week!

Today I actually have a little bit of time to blog, since it's Labor Day and I don't have work. Okay not really true, I am watching my wonderful niece Ella. My sister in law Alli has to work so I am watching her so my brother in law can work on my apartment. Right now Ella is down for a nap so it makes it a little easier to blog right now.

It has now almost been two weeks since I have gotten to talk to Adam. Oh, man if you only knew how horrible it is not to get a phone call from a loved one. They are suppose to get their phones every Sunday, but Adam has yet to call on a Sunday. He got to call me once two weeks ago on a Tuesday and it was for 5 mins. Since he has actually started Basic Training I have only talked to him for a grand total of 10 mins. It really sucks! I do get at lease 2 letter a week. So that makes me happy to get those. I just want to share with you something about Adam now, in one of his letters he wrote me this..."At church, they always ask me to do things like prayer, sacrament, ect. Out of 300 or so soldiers, they seem to always find me. Maybe its because I'm tall or maybe God thinks that I need it. Today I was asked to give blessings. The spirit was very strong in the supply closet we were doing them in..." I though about this yesterday at church while everyone was bearing their testimonies. I felt the spirit so strong and I know that Adam is where he needs to be. I told Adam that they choose him because he has a glow about him, that people can't help but see. The first time I met Adam I could see that glow about him and he really is a spiritually person. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone at all, but to me it does.
Here is another one that I would like to share with you, showing you that Adam can make anyone laugh(my family knows what I'm talking about)...written on August 23, 2010...." Today we were working on Army combative. It's mostly submission holds(jujitsu). I was a demonstrator for one of the holds. When the instructor had me in the hold(and he's a really big guy) he asked me if I was going to tap out yet. I yelled as loud as I could yell(because my mouth was in his armpit and he was laying on my chest) "soldiers never quit Drill Sergeant!". Every body laughed really hard. After that he cranked harder and it felt like he was going to rip my arm off. he asked if I was ok and I told him that I'm tough....People were talking about it all day long." Adam has a way of making everyone laugh, I miss his laugh so much. It is a one of a kind laugh. One of his best stories that he tells that makes everyone laugh is Bubbles at the Bottom. You'd have to hear the story from Adam though, it's way funny. Just ask Hope and Jake, they love when he tells that story.
Anyway I know this blog was mostly about Adam, but I just wanted to share a couple of thing...oh, and ONLY 29 days left till I leave to see him!!!!!
