Thanksgiving in TEXAS!

For Thanksgiving this year I flew down to Texas so I could spend 4 DAYS with Adam! It was the best weekend EVER! Getting to spend the 4 days with him and only him and not having to share him with anyone else was the best thing I could ever ask for.
I flew out on Wednesday after our "BIG" snow storm. haha not really much of a storm. Adam got to call me before I flew because he had just gotten released early due to the fact that they took their national EMT test. Adam passed of course, and I am very proud of him. He is doing so well and I love him with all my heart.
When I left Utah it was 17 degree and then when I got to San Antonio at 11pm it was 70 degrees! I love it, it was so nice not to be freezing!
So before I go on I need to tell you just how much I HATE driving in places I don't know and San Antonio is pretty big and it was dark when I got there which makes it even harder to find the places you need to find. Lets just say I got lost trying to find my hotel, I missed my exit and got off at the next one then I went back and got off on the wrong one again and to say the least I was freaking out. I think Adam was freaking out more so because he was waiting for me to call him when I got to the hotel and I didn't text him saying I got lost because my phone was about to die. After much driving I finally made it to the hotel, and was able to call Adam.
The next day, Thanksgiving I waited and waited by my phone to go off with a text message so that I could go pick up Adam after he was released for the day. I had to wait till 11:30AM! It seemed to last forever, most likely because I just couldn't wait any longer to see him. It was so nice to finally hug and kiss him once more, and yes I did start to cry. Adam was even more excited when we got into the car and I handed him a container full of his favorite chocolate chip cookies that I make.
Later that day we decided to walk to the Alamo, and the walk which we thought would only take like 20 mins took us 40ish mins.
The ALAMO
Adam in front of the Alamo
You're not allowed to take pictures of the inside so I don't have any of those, but it is really cool and I'm so happy we went. We were told that the whole battle where everyone died only lasted 30-90 minutes before it was over.
This is me at the back side of the Alamo
At a really cool fountain at the Alamo
Adam took this cool picture of me at the Alamo
After we went to the Alamo we decided it was hot and we wanted some ice cream. It was so good!
My husband is the greatest!
For dinner we decided that we wanted to go eat on the Riverwalk. A lot of the restaurants had a traditional Thanksgiving meal that you could buy but we decided to get hamburgers instead and they were pretty good. We also got chips and cheese which was my favorite.
Here is Adam while we ate dinner right by the river
And me, the riverwalk is so pretty, it reminds of Venice, Italy.
It is so weird to see Christmas decorations up with no snow around. While we were there we saw lots of tour boats going up and down the river. One day when and if we ever go back to San Antonio we want to do dinner on the river. They do a really nice dinner for you on the boats, it looks really cool and hopefully one day we'll be able to do that.
On Friday we didn't do much besides just spending time with each other.
On Saturday we went to see the Towers of America.

Adam and the Tower.
Me and the Tower
It was really cool to go up the glass elevator and you get to see the whole city.
I love Adam and all his funny faces that he makes. Makes me laugh all the time.
After we went to the Towers of America we went and walk around the Riverwalk again and we ran into some buddies of Adam's that we gave a ride to earlier in the day and we went and had dinner at a Mexican restaurant. It got really cold this night it got down to like 60 or so and we were cold so we went to Mcdonald's and got some Hot Chocolate.
Sunday which was our last day together we mostly just sat around at the hotel and watch a movie and ate popcorn. Neither of us have had popcorn in a long time. The hardest part about Sunday was driving him back to base one last time and hugging him goodbye. I didn't want to stop hugging him at all. I had to have him back early on Sunday compared to the other days. Sunday he had to be back at 9 instead of the normal 10'0 clock time. Next time if I ever do go down to San Antonio again I want to get a hotel on the Riverwalk if I can.

Now I only have to wait 17 DAYS till I pick him up front the airport for Christmas break. In between that I just need to get through my 2 tests and 2 finals.!
