Take back to 4/25/2013 PART 1

Part 1:

So some of you have heard my awesome story about Adam coming home, but here is part one.
Tuesday 4/23 Adam called me after I got home from school and from my tan (spray tan-love it) and told me that he did have a hernia...back story to that...he was having pain while running one day over in Afghanistan and then in Texas they did a CT scan...Well then he told me that he may not get to come home but we wouldn't find out until Wednesday morning. We decided not to tell anyone that night just because we were not sure. Wednesday morning comes about and Adam went to his appointment and they told him that he was going to have to stay in Texas for 1-2 months. I was heart broken when he told me. Then he text me saying that he was going to try and make them send him home....10 minutes later...he was told NO. UGH lot of crying then happened on my part. If anyone know what I did for his homecoming you'll know why and I think back now and think it really was not as big of a deal as I was thinking it was. But I was still heart broken.

Well Adam decided that he really did want to come home and so he had to try and denied treatment. LONG story and I mean LONG story short...Adam got  yelled at a lot...he talked to a lot of people that he should not have gotten to talk to in one day...the end results...Adam denied treatment and was given 30 days to get it taken care of...So he was told he could home home!!! Which was the next day. YAY...by the way I was texting everyone that he was not coming home, wait he is coming home, wait he's not, now it's maybe...okay now he really is coming home. A BIG thanks to WOODY who went everywhere with Adam that day and stood by him while he got yelled at. I can't thank you enough.

Adam got off the plane. they weren't suppose to even land until 12:45pm...
and here is the most precious moment captured by my cousin Shalona.
This was us on JUNE 13, 2013 at the send off.
This is us on APRIL 25, 2013
Adam is so good looking in his uniform. We had so much fun that day. I'll post more picture of it later once I get them onto my computer.

Back in December I contacted Adam's cousin, who's husband is a medical artist. He is an amazing artist. I asked him to draw a picture of one of our pre-deployment photos as a homecoming present for Adam.....and here it is...Thank you so much David!!!
Here it is added to our American wall. I think that it looks great!!! The one in the frame is the original. After he did that he scanned it into the computer and added the digital to it.
I LOVE IT!!!!
