At first we thought the problem was the thermostat, but we replaced that it, and it was still overheating. So our next option was to replace the water pump....the bad thing about this is that everywhere we called said that it would be 400-500 bucks because you have to replace the timing belt as well and the place that it is located at is hard to get to. Well long story short my brother in law knew someone and so we asked him how much he would charge and he said 150-200ish and a case of beer. Heck yes!
So we ended up paying 220.00 to him plus 100ish for the parts and a case of beer, which I bought. Everyone thought it would be funny if I bought it, and the entire time I was at the register I was trying not to laugh.
This is the old water pump part.
