I've learned

There are a lot of things that I have learned being a wife of a military man. First there is the fact that you have to deal with lonely nights and weekends alone while they are training. Second the closer we get to deployment the more time away we spend from each other (specially since he is a medic).  The more time I get to spend snuggling a pillow and hold his dog tags at night while I sleep. We are now only 3 weeks away until he leaves for pre-deployment training. As it comes closer the more I think about what is going to happen, what else we have to get ready before he leaves. I keep thinking about what I can do while he is gone, what care packages to send him and how many to send.

I know that this time about will be hard, but from when he was gone for 7 months before it only made our love, marriage, and relationship stronger. So I know this will longer make us a stronger couple. I just can't wait until they get back next year. Only in the military you never know when things are going to happen until it actually does.

This last Saturday was our Yellow Ribbon weekend. We sat in a room all day long with a TON of people. We learned things about different things that are going to happen. Most of the things I already knew, but it was good just to have it confirmed. We had some good laughs (Estella and Steve-thanks for all the fun. We are going to have some good times while the boys are away).
