Staying positive

So I have learned from past trials, such as not getting into my "plan A" nursing degree. That you have to stay positive and draw closer to the lord in every way possible. So this year I have decided to do this...Every day I am going to read this book.

Adam has had this book since he went on his mission and yes sometimes I read it here and there. But now I am determined to read it day by day. So far I have been good and have read it everyday along with looking up the scripture that is along with it. I think it has helped me stay positive. This is one way that I am going to grow closer to my Heavenly Father and I know that he will help me in my school work and accomplishing my goals of becoming a nurse. Another goal I have is to go to the Temple more. I have loved the last couple time that I have gone. I feel the spirit so strong and I just want to cry because I know he loves me unconditionally.

Adam and I have been through some tough times this past year. The biggest one is him being so far away from me. This has made our marriage stronger in every way. We have learned to communicate through text and emails. Since we only get to talk every once in a while, and when I say talk I mean Skype or phone. The last time I got to do that was on Christmas Eve. It is just hard to find a time that both of us are free to do it at the same time. Adam has been moving around a lot and doesn't have teh best internet.

Today I got the chance to go up to Soldier Hallow with my work for a Holiday party. It was super fun and I was able to bring my parents, sister and Megan. It was freezing cold and apparently my feet got colder than I thought because when they were warming back up my feet were burning up like they were on FIRE...on a good note though I won a 25 dollar gift card to Applebees. Which I will be using when Adam gets home.

Let me tell you that she is amazing and she does such a GREAT job on the pictures. I can't wait to get my own copy for my home.

So here is to a wonderful year to come full of fun adventures and positive attitude. I know things happen on his time plan and not always mine. I cannot change it, and just learn to accept it and move on and be grateful that Heavenly Father will think of me and what I need.

next to come...Adam's birthday package. But I have to wait for him to get it before I can post it...His Birthday is this coming Friday!!! sad that I can't be with him but I am so excited for him to get his package. I LOVE YOU ADAM!!!
