More weddings

On Friday(Jan. 16) we got done with our second of two three weddings this month. The wedding on Friday was for my best friend(and my maid of honor) Mindi Terry. She got married in the Manti Temple to Scott Garcia from Spanish Fork. I was lucky enough to be invited to go down and be there for the sealing in the temple. It was really wonderful to see her so happy with someone she will be with forever and ever. She looked beautiful in her wedding dress-which by the way her neighbor made for her. After the sealing we took a ton of picture, of course, I waited around while they did that so I could get my picture in, after an hour of picture taking of just them two. I really didn't mind all that much because my Mom came down with me and was doing a session in the temple so I was already waiting for her.

Later that night at Mindi and Scott's reception my friend Michelle(another one of my bridesmaids) brought her boyfriend with her. The first thing she said to me was, "Crystal I hope you're ready for another wedding in May". :) The funny thing about all this is that out of the three bridesmaids I had at my wedding, one is married and one is engaged and the other is dating a boy name Josh seriously. So Mindi got married not even six months after me, and Michelle is getting married with in a year of me getting married....Oh and if that's not funny the girl who caught my bouquet at me wedding got married last November. I guess things like this happen in life, but it's all for the better of things, to make us laugh and realize just how much we love our loved ones in our lives.

BIRTHDAY FUN!!!!

Tomorrow Adam turns 25!!!! I so excited for him to have his birthday...for a couple of reasons...
1. Our Car insurance gets to go DOWN!...So happy about that
2. I made him this awesome cake that he loved!
3. He is my husband and I love him with all my heart, mind, and soul.

The cake I made is pretty cool...When decided what to make it was between 1. my wonderful cheesecake with Adam loves...and so does everyone else who has tried it. 2. To take the time and make a gun cake...Adam loves guns, most of all his 1911.

The winner is....The 1911 cake...My mom came over Saturday while Adam was with his brothers. We started at 11:00 Am and finished at 2:00pm. It was a lot of work but it turned out amazing. See for yourself....

Busy Life...What's new....

So much has happened in just the past mouth. With Christmas and parties, Arizona and three wedding coming up this month. Life is a little crazy!!!!!
I just want to share with you a story about one of the Christmas presents Adam got from my Mom...Back in July when we got married my Grandma Dixon asked me to gather up jeans for a jean quilt that she always makes for family when they get married(it was one of my favorite presents)...anyway I told Adam to bring me some of his old jeans so I could give them to my grandma...well he brought some along with a jean quilt someone had started and never finished. He told me that his mom had started it, but died when he was six and never finished it, and then his step mom was going to finish it for his sister Michelle's wedding, and didn't. So my grandma and my mom took it upon the job to do it. I was really excited for his to open this present, it means so much to him. He loved his mom and didn't get to spend much time with her here on this earth. He talks so highly of her all the time...Back to the story...when he opened it on Christmas day, he started to cry, it meant so much to me to see him so happy. We both love cuddling up in the quilt.

This month alone we have THREE wedding going on. The first one was Adam's cousin Josh-who lives in Arizona...so last week we got to go to the sunny state and be warm instead of being cold in Utah. It was a lot of fun and Josh and Kylee look wonderful together...I must say though, my wedding was a lot better in every way! Down in Arizona it was 72 degrees the whole time. I didn't have to wear a sweater or anything, and then on Saturday we come back to Utah and it's like 10 degrees..BIG DIFFERENCE!

Making things...

I finally finished my board I was making. Ya me!!!

The saying I did on this board was yet again from something that my husband Adam said to me one night...He said, "I remember falling in love with you, and I do again every day." When he told me this I was looking for a saying to hang in our bedroom and this fit perfectly. Now each day I wake up I can look at it and remember that he fell in love with me and it does it over and over again.

Here's another little saying he said to me while we were dating. I was texting him late at night and I felt bad that I was keeping him up because he had to get up the next morning and go to work. I told him that I better let him go so he could get some sleep and get up in the morning...He then sent this response...I could go to sleep and maybe have a good dream or I could talk to you which is a dream come true...I love it so much that I ended up putting on the board that we used as center pieces at our wedding reception.

I love Adam so much, and he is always surprising me. Last week he stayed late at work and came home with this.

Temple Square

Every year it seems I go up to Temple square to see the lights. I love going there with my family, it's a wonderful time to think about the birth of Christ and what he has done for me in my life. This year a different story, I got to go with Adam! Our friends Hope and Jake came along with us. After getting to Salt Lake it took us another 40 minutes to find a parking spot.ugh...oops I just got side tracked. Anyway Jake and Hope are becoming more active in the church now, and have the goal of being sealed in the temple with their new baby girl(who should be coming any day now)! Jake not having gone to church since he was 14 is really interested in everything, so naturally Adam and I get to be missionaries. It was a lot of fun for us to be of help to both Jake and Hope.

Christmas time is here....

Christmas is such a fun time to spend with family and friends. This year is even better because I have a wonderful husband to spend it with.:) I was so excited to put up our the little Christmas decoration we have, we put up everything we had on Friday the day after Thanksgiving. It was so much fun to do.
Our Tree

Something else new this year that neither Adam or I have ever tried is we bought actual ribbon for our presents. They look so pretty under our tree, it makes me feel like our tree came out of a movie or something. It's picture perfect. I'm so proud of myself I made a couple decoration for Christmas...
The first was this sign that says Christmas

The second was our wreath...I went to Roberts on Black Friday and got the wreath and everything to make it with along with some other stuff all for 60% off...It was awesome.:)
