Adam will be leaving for boot camp on July 25,2010, which is just before our 2 year anniversary. He will be going to Fort Benning in Georgia, he'll be there for 9 weeks and 4 days. I can't wait till he is done because then I can go down for his graduation and see him. Don't worry I won't be going alone, my wonderful Mom has volunteered to go along since she knows where she is going down there(She did it back in Oct. 2008 when my brother Jason graduated). After that Adam will head to Texas for AIT school and he'll be training to be a 68W which stands for Health Care Specialist. His training there will last a long 18 weeks I believe. Which means he'll come home at the end of February 2011. Don't worry though he'll get to come home for Christmas! When he returns he'll join his unit for monthly drills, he's unit is called the 1457th Engineer Battalion which is based in American Fork.
This is the uniform my wonderful husband get to wear....and I might add he looks pretty darn good in it! I always though he looked amazing in it while he did ROTC when we met.I'm super excited to get this going on the road because now we have a way to pay for school and we are that much closer to starting our family. I'm so proud of Adam for what he is doing, he has wanted to join since he was a little boy, and as an adult he has felt very strong that he needed to join. I love him so much, and even though it's going to be super hard for the both of us while he is gone I know when can do it. Hey, and what's that saying that says "Time makes the heart grow founder", I think that's it. I will also have my friends and family to help out.
Oh, and one more thing we are hoping to sale our house by July before he leaves, I really don't want to deal with that on my own. We are selling just so we can save money and send me to school. We really have not told anyone about this either.
