Today I actually have a little bit of time to blog, since it's Labor Day and I don't have work. Okay not really true, I am watching my wonderful niece Ella. My sister in law Alli has to work so I am watching her so my brother in law can work on my apartment. Right now Ella is down for a nap so it makes it a little easier to blog right now.

It has now almost been two weeks since I have gotten to talk to Adam. Oh, man if you only knew how horrible it is not to get a phone call from a loved one. They are suppose to get their phones every Sunday, but Adam has yet to call on a Sunday. He got to call me once two weeks ago on a Tuesday and it was for 5 mins. Since he has actually started Basic Training I have only talked to him for a grand total of 10 mins. It really sucks! I do get at lease 2 letter a week. So that makes me happy to get those. I just want to share with you something about Adam now, in one of his letters he wrote me this..."At church, they always ask me to do things like prayer, sacrament, ect. Out of 300 or so soldiers, they seem to always find me. Maybe its because I'm tall or maybe God thinks that I need it. Today I was asked to give blessings. The spirit was very strong in the supply closet we were doing them in..." I though about this yesterday at church while everyone was bearing their testimonies. I felt the spirit so strong and I know that Adam is where he needs to be. I told Adam that they choose him because he has a glow about him, that people can't help but see. The first time I met Adam I could see that glow about him and he really is a spiritually person. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone at all, but to me it does.
Here is another one that I would like to share with you, showing you that Adam can make anyone laugh(my family knows what I'm talking about)...written on August 23, 2010...." Today we were working on Army combative. It's mostly submission holds(jujitsu). I was a demonstrator for one of the holds. When the instructor had me in the hold(and he's a really big guy) he asked me if I was going to tap out yet. I yelled as loud as I could yell(because my mouth was in his armpit and he was laying on my chest) "soldiers never quit Drill Sergeant!". Every body laughed really hard. After that he cranked harder and it felt like he was going to rip my arm off. he asked if I was ok and I told him that I'm tough....People were talking about it all day long." Adam has a way of making everyone laugh, I miss his laugh so much. It is a one of a kind laugh. One of his best stories that he tells that makes everyone laugh is Bubbles at the Bottom. You'd have to hear the story from Adam though, it's way funny. Just ask Hope and Jake, they love when he tells that story.
Anyway I know this blog was mostly about Adam, but I just wanted to share a couple of thing...oh, and ONLY 29 days left till I leave to see him!!!!!
