Lesson learned the hard way!

Apple image

Yesterday was kind of a sad day in the fact my Mac is in the Shop. :( I have had it for almost 3 years and have never had any troubles with it. Well yesterday I was blogging and checking for updates on Facebook. I was seeing if Adam's drill sergeants had put any photos up yet. Then my computer froze and I tried to do the force quit and it wasn't working. So I restarted the computer by pushing the on button like i've been told to do. Well when it came back up a folder with a question mark. I quickly googled it and most people said that, that meant that you hard drive has gone bad. I wanted to scream! I quickly found my care package I bought to see how long it is covered for...and its good til 10/02/10, how lucky can you get! Before I took it up to the apple store I decided I should try doing the trouble shooting first....Nothing...except I got the folder to go away but nothing was loading up, all I had was a blank screen. So then I go up to the apple store and tell them my story and he tells me it's most likely my hard drive. Please don't tell me that. He asked if I had backed up any of my files. I said no, but really I was planning on buying a back up storage thing that day and back up my pictures and music. Too late! Since I have the apple care though it pays for a new hard drive! The only the only thing it doesn't cover is data recovery. I have to pay $150.00 IF they can recover anything. Let's hope so. I have all my pictures on there. My engagments, Wedding, and all the pictures since we have been married. 2 years worth of pictures!
So I learned my lesson....Always back up your photos, because photos are priceless.
Oh, and I am really thankful that I got the extended care package so I don't have to pay for anything.
Oh, and two weeks ago I got my first EVER ticket. I got pulled over, I wasn't even speeding but got pulled over all the same. My registration was expired and he gave me a ticket. If I got it all registered within 5-14 days then some of my fine would be taken off. The reason I had not gotten it done yet was because I needed to buy tires, and they are not cheap! But I did it anyway and I got ten dollars taken off my ticket. It cost me 30.00 bucks!

That totally stinks. I remember when our computer crashed and years and years of pictures were lost. It was awful. :P I hope they can recover some things!
