Way to GO JACOB!!!

Yesterday my little brother graduated High School!!!! I can't believe he is old enough to have graduated High School...so weird, I also have 2 cousins that are graduating next week and it only seems yesterday that we were playing with our dolls together. Now, I am married and they are graduating High School.
Jacob's Graduation was held at their High School on the football field. They had parachuter's come down with the flag onto the field. That was pretty cool, oh, and I got an awesome little sunburn on my face.

After spending TWO LONG hours in the sun waiting for all the names to be read, which was like over 300. We got to leave and go to dinner at Brick Oven! We love that place, it is were we went after my graduation 4 years ago.

Adam, Jacob, and me
If anyone knows my husband really well you know that he will grab your butt, but only if you're special. It just means that he likes you. He did it to Jacob right after we took this picture.

CONGRATS TO MY LITTLE BROTHER JACOB FOR GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL! WE LOVE YOU JACOB!!!!

IT'S BEEN A WHILE

I know it has been a while since I last blogged on here, but it's has been crazy busy in our lives. I have been doing school NON STOP it seems like. I finished finals for Anatomy and Nutrition the last week of April and then I got a two week break and I am now starting Summer classes. Okay it's only one class but it's 6 hours every Tuesday and Thursday.
My grades for Spring were AWESOME!!!!! I got A's, I love getting A's. I even got it in ANATOMY!!!!! So excited for that one. Although it was over a little trial to get the A. Here's the story, grades are posted on May 5 and so just happened to look the day before and they happened to be posted and it said that I had an A in Nutrition and a D- in Anatomy. My heart just about dropped out of me. I was like, "WHAT!? No, Way it that my grade, I scored higher than a TON of people!" So, I went and talked to my lecture teacher and it turns out that my lab teacher didn't turn in my score for lab and so I had a D-, well I gave him my sheet that had my final score for the lab and he told me that, that would give me my A! He ask if I wanted to cry, and I said yes , because I really wanted that A. Reason for that is so I can get into the nursing program. Which I can apply for in August, and then hopefully get in and start in the Spring 2012 semester! Since I did good this semester I had Adam take me to Red Lobster so I could get me some crab legs and they were so, so good.

During my little two week break I helped Adam upstairs. We are getting so close to being done. All that is left really is the shower to finish being tiled, countertops and kitchen sink to go in, and then carpet.
This is the vanity in our bedroom, I just need to get a mirror for it.
Looking into our bedroom. Adam said the day they lay the carpet he is moving our bed in so we can sleep in it.
living room, I took this picture so you can see what our fans look like.
Another view of the front room.
Kitchen, Just need to get the countertops in.
And this is the bathroom, it is all plumbed and ready to go, and yes Adam has been using it since the night we got the toilet in. The sink was not even in yet.
So that is what we have been up to. This weekend Adam is in Price for a three day drill in which they are doing a convoy. Adam got to be the medic for those who didn't pass their PT test last time and he said that one guy could only do 16 sit ups. He was also excited because he got a full on aid bag for the weekend. It was really hard to sleep in the bed by myself last night, and I can't wait for Sunday night to get here so I can sleep with my hubby.

The jetta

So for the past two weeks our Jetta has been overheating and the heater was not working. So Adam and I have been having fun with one car to get around it. It is a good thing that he works at the same place that he brothers work at so he could caught a ride on the days that I needed the car to get to Orem for school. On the days that I didn't have school I would take the Jetta and I would just have to stop once or twice to allow the car to cool down.
At first we thought the problem was the thermostat, but we replaced that it, and it was still overheating. So our next option was to replace the water pump....the bad thing about this is that everywhere we called said that it would be 400-500 bucks because you have to replace the timing belt as well and the place that it is located at is hard to get to. Well long story short my brother in law knew someone and so we asked him how much he would charge and he said 150-200ish and a case of beer. Heck yes!
So we ended up paying 220.00 to him plus 100ish for the parts and a case of beer, which I bought. Everyone thought it would be funny if I bought it, and the entire time I was at the register I was trying not to laugh.

This is the old water pump part.

I just first want to thank my family for all the wonderful prayers and being so supportive. Yesterday in my Lab Anatomy class we FINALLY got our midterms back. I took it back on March 11, and I am just getting it back. I was VERY HAPPY with my results....I GOT 101!!!! we had 52 questions and each one was worth 2 points a piece. The test is only out of 100 so if you got a perfect score you could get a total of 104 points. My lab instructor told me that I got my class high! I just might pull an A out of this class as long as I do good in lecture. My midterm in that class could have been better but it was better than a lot of people. The average was a 51% and I got 72.5% so I think that is pretty good. I only have 4.5 weeks left in this semester and then I have a 2 week break and then I start my summer semester with my last pre-req before I can apply for the nursing program!!!!

I want to thank my husband for putting up with me this semester, with the long nights of study and sometimes we only getting snuggle at night when we go to bed. Thank you for encouraging me to do my best and become a better person. To get a degree and better the lives of our future children.

Well I know it's been a while since I have updated on our apartment, but it's because I was hoping that I would be able to post pictures of the finished project...but it's not quite ready yet. But Adam made an awesome walk in closet and is now starting to tile our shower. We are using the stone tiles that his aunt gave us. They look so good, and I'm really happy we didn't have to buy the stone because normally it's like 25 bucks per thing and they measure 18x18''

Tomorrow morning Adam will finally be in his official unit! We can't wait, we having been waiting for this for over a month to find our what is going on in his unit. He is also going to go up a rank...He will now be a private first class...

....a little late

Since Adam and I were not together on Valentines day, we decided to celebrate the Saturday after he got home. So last Saturday after I had been to open lab and had been studying for 4-5 hours, Adam came home with these....FLOWERS!!

He had just finished helping our friends move to Spanish Fork from Payson...Man they just missed us so much they had to move to Spanish Fork and be near us...
I Love my flowers Adam got me, they are beautiful!! He even got my favorite kind (daisies) After we got ready we decided to head to the movies and we watched Unkown. It was a good movie and didn't turn out the way I though it would, and it was still an okay movie.

Next, since we were right by the mall, Adam told me to part and we sent into the sports store there and he had me try on new running shoes!!!
I got the Nike Free Run, and we even got 15 % off on them....Gotta love military discounts!

They are the most comfortable shoes EVER!!! the little squares on the bottom move with your feet and it doesn't feel like you even have a shoe on at all. Can't wait to start running now...if I can find a little bit of time in between my classes.
For dinner we wanted to go try Texas Road House, we have been once and it was when we were first dating and it was a horrible experience! But we though we would try anyways. We called and they said it was 90-120min wait for TWO people! Really? I am not going to wait 2 hours just to sit down and then wait another 1/2 hour for my food. So we went to Ruby River! I got a small sirloin and it was so good!

I love our date night, it was really nice since we haven't had a date night in over 7 weeks.
I love you Adam and thank you for the shoes, the flowers, dinner and a movie, and for being the best husband EVER!

My Valentine!

Tomorrow is Valentines Day! This will be our third Valentine's Day together for Adam and I, and unfortunately we will not be together. :( But the happy news is that we will be together again on Friday (don't know what time yet though, hopefully we will find out tomorrow). JUST FOUND OUT THAT HE IS COMING IN AT 7:20 PM ON FRIDAY!!!! We will just have an excuse to go out to dinner next Saturday.

I want to take a minute to thank my wonderful husband for being my Valentine for Eternity. I love him so Very MUCH! I want to thank him for being the one who loves me for me and for everything I do. He is always telling I can do the things which I don't think I can do....Like anatomy, he is always telling me that I can do it, even though sometimes I don't think I can. He is always there for me, even when he was out on his field exercise I got a letter that he had mailed the week before and it got to me just in time when I needed it most. To read the words, "I love you Crystal!" Him saying those words will never get old, EVER! I love hearing him say it. I remember when we got sealed in the temple our sealer told us to ALWAYS tell each other we love each other. Adam and I tell each other this all the time and we wouldn't have it any other way. I LOVE Adam with all my heart and nothing will ever change that. I truly can't imagine my life with out him in it, with out him my life just isn't complete.
I love him for everything he does, for the countless hours of sleep he has lost in order to call me at night. On a couple occasions we have stayed up till 2 am talking, which is 3 his time and most of the time after that he has to get up at 7 am on Saturdays and 4:30 am on the weekdays.

Adam is such a strong person and he makes me want to be a better person. He was brave enough to join the Army and serve his country. He left for training back in July and has been away from me and other family members since then. I know it has been a hard time on him to be away from me and other family members. The time we have spent apart has been hard on me too, but when I was feeling down I could always just turn and call my mom or someone else and cry to them. Adam had no one to turn to when he felt down. When your loved one is feeling down and you can't be there to hug them, is the worst feeling in the world.

I am so very proud of him! He has done so good during his training and he just got back from his last field exercise on this last Friday and will be graduating on this coming Friday. He passed off all his skills on the first time and has gotten really good scores on his tests.

I am so proud of him because not only will he be graduating as an Army Medic but he will be graduating with honors!!!!! I love you Adam and I am so proud to be your wife and to have you as my husband.

I can't wait for Friday to come and to see his smiling face as he comes out of the gate at the airport. When I see his smile, I can't help but smile back at him. I can't wait for him to hug tight and tell me that he loves him so very much. To have him kiss my forehead as we are hugging is something priceless and is something that I cherish.

This journey Adam and I have been on, has made our marriage, and our love for each other grow beyond measure. It has made both of us realize just how much we love each other. You can always know that you love a person and then when you are apart and then see each other again all the love you have for each other seem to grow and you KNOW that YOU LOVE them so much more than you did before. Just when you think that you can't love them anymore, you get surprised and you love them more than you ever had before.

I love you Adam with all my heart!
Thank you for being my Valentine, and I can't wait to see you on Friday!

The Next 10 Days...

The next 10 days are going to be so LOOONG and so HARD. You want to know why? Well it's because I don't get to talk to Adam for 10 more days. I have to wait until next Friday to talk to him or text him or anything. Yesterday they started their two week Field Exercise and they don't get their phones and anything during this time. He called me yesterday morning at 3 AM, luck for me I just happen to wake up, just to tell me that he loves me...How sweet is my man to me. I love him so very much! As if he wasn't sweet enough to call me, when I got home last night from Open Lab there was a letter sitting on my dresser that he wrote to me and it has taken a 4 days to get here. I really did need that letter.

Well that is what is happening in my life right now. I can't talk to my sweet husband and I am busy, busy, busy with school.
