A few new things

So as part of my birthday present to MYSELF I bought a new bedspread. I bought a duvet. I wanted one because I can take the cover off and can wash it. It brightens up the room a lot.
The pictures are not the best pictures but they do show just how cute my duvet is... Adam loves it too and it has paisleys on it which is awesome!
view 2
View 3...A couple months ago I repainted the frames you see in the back. They were brown and then I pained them white and so now they match my bedspread.
A couple weeks ago my friend had a TOMS part and if you haven't heard they sale the Toms for cheaper. I got the burlap ones and then I also got some for my friend Estell and her cousin. Well the ones I picked up for her cousin didn't fit so we had to exchange them that weekend and I got the red pair then. I got the burlap ones for 35 and the red ones for 20 bucks...I also got a pair for my sister...PINK Sparkle ones...and if you know my sister you know that she is all girl and loves sparkly things a LOT!
Here is a picture that Adam sent me that doesn't have any of the country background. Due to security reasons I don't post any background pictures and if family would like to see the rest of the pictures I will have them at our next gathering. I love that Adam has sent me so many pictures. He is doing good and gets to call me on the phone about once a week.
My SEXY soldier!!
I'm so proud of my Adam and everything that he does for me and supports me in everything you do. I love you Adam and I can't wait to talk to you again.

If there are any family or friends that would like to send Adam a care package and I have not given you the address yet. Just let me know and I can give it to you.

Package # 4 & 5

So this last package that I sent Adam ended up being 2 boxes!! I couldn't believe it. So the picture below just has some of the stuff that I sent. I forgot to take a picture of the other stuff.
1. M & M-he has been craving them BIG TIME!
2. Breakfast of the go-Adam loves these and was sad that I only sent him 1 box last time. So I got 3 boxes this last time.
3. Emergency-so that he can get vitamin C and make sure he doesn't get sick
4. water flavor packet
5. Charleston chews
6. Sour patch watermelons, kids, and octopuses-he loves the sour gummies
7. Pop Tarts-He would get these every once in a while and loved them so I thought I would get them again for him
8. Swedish Fish, one of his all time favorite treats
9. Chocolate roasted almonds-His buddies wife send some to them and he loved them and asked me to get some more. He told me today that he has almost  eaten the whole container. Guess it's time to get more and thank goodness they are healthy.
10. and the Winny whistle-my mom got this at Stokes when it was in town

Box 1 I put, "Half my heart is deployed"
Other things included in this package was a camera-he gave the other one he had to the interpreter so that he can take pictures of his family.
Light and rail for his gun-another story for this which you can ask me on a personal basis. I don't want to post it online.
Chapstick
I also sent him a present-an awesome medic shirt-They are always calling medics Doc over there so hence the Doc of the back of the shirt...HE LOVED IT!!

I also sent more nasal stripes because everyone keeps telling him that he snores too loud. He never snored at home and on the off occasion that he did I just nudge him and he would stop.
I think there were other things but I can't remember what it all was. But he loved his package!

Adam told me that at one spot where he was at there were forts built by Alexander the Great. How cool is that!

Twin Diaper Cakes

So one of Adam's buddies (Phil) that is overseas with him just became a father yesterday....to TWIN boys!!! They are so cute!!!! I was able to go see Kristina (Phil's wife) and their two boys today. I was so happy to see them and I just love holding babies! They are healthy and doing so well and get to go home tomorrow...hopefully.... Noelan was born at 6lb 6oz and Hudson was born at 7lbs. I still can't believe how big they are.
Back in July I asked Adam what we should do for them. I really wanted to get them something and Adam told me I should make one of my diaper cakes...then I thought, well they are having twins so I should make two. One for each twin.

The finish product!
Back to the begining of the project...Had to get the camo in there.
Cake #1
I don't know if you can see the binky holder in the picture above..it's right by the camo socks . My Mom helped me make them. They are also make out of camo ribbon.

Cake #2

There is the happy Mom and the twins. Kristina looks so great! I hope I can look this good after my labor.
Welcome to the world Noelan and Hudson!!! and CONGRATS to Kristina and Phil on your two bundle of joys!!

J Ryan is HOME!!!!

So Adam's little brother J Ryan got back last week after finishing Basic Training and AIT in South Carolina. He left in March just 2 weeks after getting married to this lucky girl below. So they have been away from each other for 5 months now. Last Sunday we had a welcome back party.

J Ryan (who has lost a lot of weight) and his wife Bre.
This is a picture from his Saturday party with the Green family (Hope, Jake, and their little girl Kenzie)
For the part I was in charge of making treats so I wanted to make something people didn't need plates or forks for so I made chocolate covered strawberries. Dipped in white and then drizzle red and blue chocolate on top. I think they turned out GREAT! I made over 60 and they were all gone by the time I left.
Here is me and J Ryan. Man I missed that boy more that I thought I would. It was a bitter sweet moment because he is home and my hubby is not. SAD Face :( By the time J Ryan and Adam see each other it will be over a year since they have seen each other...I can't wait to capture that moment on camera.
Here is my soldier! He is so sexy! and he is all MINE! He is doing good right now and misses home and of course me. He wishes that he sometimes wasn't with a construction group because they don't get to go out much with the people of Afghanistan and that is what he would like to do. I thought that he would be helping to build building for the people instead of just for the other bases around there. But things happen for certain reason which we may not know and I know things will work out. They have to work out.

At the party I brought this so people could write letters/draw pictures for Adam and I just sent them off to him last week so hopefully it will get there soon. All the nieces and nephews drew one for him.

I love my soldier man and I love him so much! He is an amazing person!

I LOVE YOU ADAM!

I love you care package

So for a little bit now I have been so confused about what Heavenly Father wants me to do for my life. I keep getting put down because I feel like everyone's life is moving on and mine is not. Everyone around me is getting pregnant and starting their families. I feel like I can't start my family until I finish school and that just keeps getting put back. I first can't get into UVU after trying 2 times and getting interviews both times and only to be told NO! I feel like everyone I know gets in and then I don't. Also a lot of people that I know get in are over the age of 30 or are men. I can no longer apply there (UVU)  again  because you can only have 2 interviews in a 5 year period. Then I get into a LPN program and then I can't finish my CNA in time. Then I have to put off nursing school by another year. I will re-apply for the Spring 2013 season and also to Weber State's program. I feel like no one knows what I am going through and I just want a road map of what I am suppose to do..doesn't help that Adam is not here to help we and be able to hug me. Anyway there is my rant of what I have been feeling like lately.

Here is Adam's last care package that I sent him. It only took 7 days to get there this time. It was so AWESOME to get a text at 5am telling me that he got it and that he LOVED IT!

1.Teddy Grahams- BEAR HUGS-he wanted hugs
2. Breakfast on the go
3. Bandaids
4. Air Freshionair
5. Drink Packets for his water bottles
6. Toothbrushes
7. Angry birds fruit snacks
8. Nasal sprays
9. gum
10. ipod arm band
11. I made him Monkey bread in jar. You bake them in the jars and when they come out of the oven you put the lid on and it seals itself.
12. Icing for the monkey bread. I wanted to send my own icing but it would go bad since it's made with cream cheese.
13. Adam loves the smell of my deodorant, so I sent him a stick of that and a little something, something to remember me by that may also be embarrassing for some.
14. Love letter-a requirement for all care packages.

Adam requested that he wanted hugs and kisses- the hugs you saw earlier and then the kisses I put all over the box.
I found this e-card and printed out and put it in the bottom of the box..I really do wish that I would send myself to me and give him his hugs and kisses.
This what the box looked like after I stuffed it full. I was worried that the jars might break but they didn't. Adam said that the monkey bread was a little dry but it was still good.
I added one last kiss that was not covered in tap, one that he might be able to kiss back.

Adam LOVED the care package! I love you Adam and love that you loved it!

Nuts about you care package

So I can finally post about my, "nuts about you" care package now that Adam has finally gotten it. It took 15 days to get there but he got it.
For the Nuts about you package you just get anything that has nuts in it. I got: chex mix(honey nut), peanuts, cashews, nutella, pistachios, corn nuts, nutter butters, trail mix with nuts, Macedonian nut cookies, and peanut butter cookies. I also sent him a framed picture of us, his journal and a flashlight that he forgot to take with him. He loved it!!
He said that the cookies were a little brittle since its been two weeks. I read online to put a piece of bread with it but I guess I need to put it in bags with bread and then in a container.

Now to think of what to do for the other care packages....

Frames

This is one of the projects that I have been working on for my bedroom.

Before:

After:
I have been wanting to add more photos to this wall since we had our last pictures taken (sorry this photo is not very good). I went to hobby lobby to buy some new frames but even with the 50% off it was still going to cost me a little bit. So, I went to Walmart and got some of their $3 frames and some spray paint. Then I sanded them to make them get that antique look. I think that they turned out great!
This was has special meaning because the quote on the board is something Adam said to me right after we were married. My mom and her helpful cricket helped me make the sign and it has been hanging in our bedroom since we have been married.
